Incase you haven’t noticed, a lot of the posts have download links. Here’s the skinny.
To make lives easier, I’ll be putting download links on appropriate posts. These will link to templates of designs, or layouts, or sidebars, et cetera. This way you don’t have to redesign something that’s already been designed!
Files are all securely zip’d up and securely hosted on a secure server in some secure country. Securely. No need to worry about viruses or any of that fun stuff.
Files are (typically) made in Adobe CS5 apps, and therefore exported and saved as such. If you don’t have CS5, and would like a compatible file, please don’t hesitate to drop something in the ask and ask for a conversion. Please. Don’t worry. No fears.
Also, please submit your own files by e-mailing them to letsmakeayearbook {at-a-rookski} gmail {toshka} com!
Stilly, silly children…!
Here’s the idea: Every year someone comes and has some kind of gripe about the book. Maybe it’s an editing error, or maybe their name is wrong, or maybe they write in the book without checking for defects first.
Well, put one of these in each of the books as you hand them out so that everyone’s questions and comments are answered! Quick and dirty!
(If they don’t [or can’t] read it, than you’ve got bigger fish to fry…)

Know how yearbook staffers always take pictures of people? Because, ya know, it happens a lot. Well, why not entice the students having their pictures taken to purchase a book while you’re at it?
Here’s the idea: Print out business cards with information on how to get a book (like the ones above) and hand them out to students after they get their picture taken. Make sure it has easy directions on how to buy a book. That way, there’s incentive to get a book. It’s quick, and easy!
And to make things better, it’s cheap too! Vistaprint has amazingly cheap business card prints. Sign up at Vistaprint.com and you’ll get tons of offers for free color cards, you only have to pay shipping and a small charge for uploading a design!
